About the event

British-Kazakh Society Mining group is hosting a webinar in cooperation with UK Department for Business and Trade. This webinar will be focused on the mine waste/tailings management  in Kazakhstan. Some of the topics to be discussed will be:

Drivers for conformance audits     

  • Reasons to conform (ICMM members, insurance, CoE, good practice etc)
  • Independent vs internal audits. 

Conformance audit method     

  • Independent audit process (RFI and self-assessment, review/gap analysis, optional site visit, audit, outcomes)

Trends over 3-years of audits  

  • General conformance levels
  • Key items/requirements that don’t conform, highlighting general Kazakhstan experiences (roles/responsibilities, DSR, DAR, TMS, foundation characterisation, legacy TSF issues such as early designs etc)
