On 27 October, Prime Minister Askar Mamin together with US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross launched the US Kazakhstan Business Council of the US Chamber of Commerce. Over 100 US companies participated in the event including Chevron, GE, Shell, JP Morgan Chase, Princeton Healthcare Alliance,
Pfizer, Tyson Foods, IBM, Oracle, Facebook, Google Dupont Pioneer and others (click here).
On 27 October, First President Nursultan Nazarbayev visited Abu Dhabi and met with UAE Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan (click here).
On 28 October, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Kazakh Research Institute for Biological Safety General Director Kunsulu Zakarya to discuss the development of local COVID-19 vaccines. Two vaccines have been approved by WHO and first round of clinical trials have been completed. A new plant for producing antiviral drugs is currently under construction. The new plant will produce 60 million vaccine doses per year (click here).
On 29 October, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Reforms, Sir Suma Chakrabarti, to discuss the second meeting of the Council in December and plans for 2021 (click here).

According to official statistics, as of 2 November, 112,860 people have been infected with Covid-19 in Kazakhstan. 106,514 people recovered and 1,857 died.
