About the event
Sir Suma Chakrabarti is a distinguished economist and international development expert with over 30 years of experience in the field. He served as the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) from 2012 to 2020, was Permanent Secretary at the Department for International Development from 2002 to 2007 and the Ministry of Justice from 2007 to 2012, and has held various senior positions in the UK office of international organisations such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Sir Suma has been an Adviser to the President of Kazakhstan on Economic Development and Effective Governance since 2020.
Mark Beer OBE is Chairman of the BKS Law Group and a highly regarded international lawyer. He is co-founder of Seven Pillars Law and Chairman of The Metis Institute.
