Joint BKS-CCAF Talk on The Making of the Silk Roads: How nomads with metals created the foundations of the first global economic network. The British-Kazakh Society in cooperation with the CCAF is hosting a webinar with Dr. Miljana Radivojevic from University College London and Dr. Siddharth (Montu) Saxena from Cambridge University.

Moderator: 

Dr. Siddharth Saxena - Principal Research Associate at the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge and Director of the Cambridge Central Asia Forum. Director of the Cambridge Kazakhstan Centre.

Keynote Speaker: 

Dr. Miljana Radivojevic - Lecturer in Archaeomaterials at the UCL Institute of Archaeology, Trustee of the Institute of Archaeo-Metallurgical Studies and Honorary Fellow of the Cambridge Central Asian Forum and GCRF COMPASS Project, Centre for Development Studies, University of Cambridge.

The discussion between the speakers will be followed by a live Q/A session where you will have an opportunity to communicate directly with the speakers.

There will also be available a simultaneous language interpretation to the Russian language.
