BKS Webinar: Kazakhstan - Road to Carbon Neutrality 2060

The British-Kazakh Society hosted a webinar chaired by David Skeels (BKS, Director).

The topic of the discussion was Kazakhstan's road to carbon neutrality until 2060.

 

Following the announcement by President Tokayev of Kazakhstan’s target to reach net-zero carbon by 2060, the country is facing a number of choices as to what the low carbon pathway should look like and what would be required to achieve it. This discussion included key stakeholders in the Kazakh energy space – representing traditional oil&gas players, renewable developers, policymakers, and authorities.
