The British-Kazakh Society was honoured to host its Annual Dinner on 22 January 2026 in the Cholmondeley Room of the House of Lords, celebrating the continued strengthening of the bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom and Kazakhstan.

The evening featured addresses from Rupert Goodman OBE DL, Chairman of the British-Kazakh Society; Her Excellency Sally Axworthy MBE, His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan; Mr Ruslan Karabulov, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the United Kingdom; and His Excellency Minister Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Society was also pleased to welcome a number of distinguished guests, including Lord Brennan KC, Mr Rashid Gaissin, Chairman of the British-Kazakh Law Association; Ms Joanna Kuenssberg, Vice President at Shell; and Ms Kamila Zhailaubayeva, Country Manager at Air Astana.
