Chairman of the British-Kazakh Society Appears on Kazakhstan National TV
Rupert Goodman OBE DL, Chairman of the British-Kazakh Society, recently appeared on Qazaqstan National TV, where he shared his views on the proposed constitutional reforms in Kazakhstan and their broader significance for the country’s development.
Speaking during the programme, Mr Goodman noted that putting constitutional changes to a nationwide referendum reflects a broad dialogue between the government and the public. In his view, at a time of complex international developments, Kazakhstan’s efforts to modernise its political system can contribute to strengthening internal stability and building a solid foundation for long-term cooperation with key international partners.
Mr Goodman also highlighted Kazakhstan’s economic progress since independence, noting the significant improvement in living standards, sustained economic growth, increased inflows of foreign direct investment, and the implementation of market-oriented reforms. He added that the referendum could further enhance Kazakhstan’s standing and importance on the international stage.
