The British-Kazakh Society, in partnership with Mayer Brown and the British-Kazakh Law Association, hosted a timely seminar titled “Shaping the Future: Infrastructure and Construction in Kazakhstan” on 22 January 2026 in London as part of Kazakhstan Week. The breakfast event brought together legal and industry experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities in implementing large construction projects in Kazakhstan’s evolving market, including project structuring, procurement, financing, regulation, and dispute resolution.

Moderated by Mayer Brown partner Rachael O’Grady, the panel featured professionals from Mayer Brown, Revera Kazakhstan, Presight AI Kazakhstan, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Kazakhstan National Association of Professional Engineers and Consultants. Attendees engaged in a robust Q&A session, gaining insight into best practices for project execution and risk management in cross-border contexts.

The event concluded with a networking session, encouraging dialogue among policymakers, legal practitioners, and industry stakeholders on strengthening investment frameworks and supporting Kazakhstan’s infrastructure growth. Hosted at Mayer Brown’s London offices, the seminar highlighted the value of international collaboration during Kazakhstan Week.
