Impact of New Environmental Requirements on the Mining Sector

The British-Kazakh Society is hosting a webinar on the impact of new environmental requirements on Kazakhstan's mining sector.

The Republic of Kazakhstan recently adopted a new Environmental Code (No 400-VI 3PK) which replaced the older Environmental Code from 2007. The new Code has undergone considerable changes incorporating the recommendations of OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development). The changes to the Environmental Code have an effect on all the sectors of the country's economy including the mining sector. At this webinar, we will have experts both from Kazakhstan and UK discussing the impacts of the new Environmental Code on the mining sector of Kazakhstan.
